We are not commanded to mission, the New Testament has a much more profound understanding of mission than that. The New Testament understands that we are co-commissioned; God and us together in partnership. We are his hands, his feet, his voice to a broken world. Jesus gave us the great commission saying : “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mt 28:19 and 20) The challenge for each and every Christian is this: “What is God calling ME to in mission and ministry, through His Word, by the power of His Holy Spirit?”
The Missions we support
Supporting Heart, OMF, Chinese Church Support, Burma Partners, BCA, People Aid, Chaplaincy, and CMS.
This month we are focusing on Bush Church Aid.
Bush Church Aid has a heart for people living in remote and regional Australia. They are committed to going the distance to reach Australia for Christ.
People living in sparsely populated areas often don’t benefit from strong support networks. Churches in these areas can struggle financially due to fluctuating populations. Ongoing fellowship can be hard to maintain and encouragement can become a rarity.
In partnership with Anglican Dioceses across the country, Bush Church Aid places committed and gifted Christians in a variety of locations to help people connect with the grace of God revealed in Jesus.
Also BCA is working to develop a new generation of culturally diverse Christian leaders to serve in the bush, and to equip leaders already on the ground for faithful and fruitful ministry.
